This marks the third consecutive year the company has secured the "Domestic General Insurer of the Year – Japan" title, making it the first domestic insurance company in Japan to achieve this milestone.

The Insurance Asia Awards, launched in 2016 by leading business media group, Charlton Media Group, recognise outstanding products, services, and initiatives among insurers, reinsurers, and brokers.

The Awards Received
1. "Domestic General Insurer of the Year – Japan"; Recognises insurance companies in Japan that have made innovative efforts to solve the challenges they are facing.
2. "ESG Initiative of the Year – Japan"; Honours projects by Japanese insurers that demonstrate exceptional innovation and high efficacy, contributing to sustainable and responsible business practices through proactive engagement with ESG challenges.
3. Awarded work; The dual recognition highlights the success of the company's "Natural Capital and Biodiversity Risk Disclosure Support Service," co-developed with Natcap (Natural Capital Research), a spin-out venture from the University of Oxford. The service enables corporations to visualise and prioritise nature-related risks on a financial-impact basis, broken down by corporate sites, suppliers, and key commodities such as commodity-grade raw materials and components. The initiative was highly commended by the judging committee as an exceptionally practical tool that companies can directly leverage for TNFD and CSRD compliance, investor relations (IR) strategies, and financial risk management.

In the previous year's Insurance Asia Awards 2025, Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance also won two categories: Domestic General Insurer of the Year – Japan and Digital Transformation Initiative of the Year – Japan. The accolade was awarded to the AI-backed bridge inspection support tool, co-developed by the company and Mind Foundry, a University of Oxford AI venture, through their joint research institute, the Aioi R&D Lab-Oxford.
