Natcap’s London Climate Action Week 2026

Written by Natcap | 4 Jun, 2026

London Climate Action Week is upcoming, returning 20 - 28 June, and it’s set to be London’s biggest event yet.

The team will be busy, joining events across London. We will also be hosting four key events throughout the week:

From Risk to Opportunity: Making Nature Investible at Scale

Nature is often framed as a cost centre and a critical risk. For leading companies, this perception is shifting.

In a changing world, forward-thinking businesses are translating nature-positive action into tangible commercial value, from increased operating margins and more resilient supply chains to differentiated products and innovative new business models.

Join sustainability leaders, finance professionals, and investors for an exclusive LCAW event focused on moving beyond compliance and impact to explore nature as a source of commercial opportunity.

Drawing on emergent global frameworks, including TNFD and WEF, and practical case studies from major corporates, the panel will explore:

  • What nature opportunities look like in practice
  • How businesses can identify, enable, and scale them for competitive advantage
  • The critical role of business and finance in the nature positive transition

Speakers include:

  • Andrew Mitchell, Co-Founder & Senior Adviser, TNFD; Senior Adviser, Nature & Climate Finance, UNEP; Founder & Senior Adviser Global Canopy
  • Laura Fisher, Programme Lead, Nature Positive Industries, World Economic Forum
  • Beccy Wilebore, Chief Science Officer, Natcap

When: Wednesday, 24 June 2026 | 17:30 - 19:30 BST

Nature Opportunities in the Agri-Commodity Value Chain

As part of LCAW, Natcap will be hosting an intimate breakfast with sustainability leaders in the agri-commodity space.

This is an opportunity to:

  • Connect with other leaders in the agri-commodity space
  • Learn from peers about what is - and isn’t - working when building the business case for nature
  • Learn from real-world case studies about how companies have delivered positive ROI through investing in nature

When: Wednesday, 24 June 2026 | 8:30 - 10:00 BST

Can nature and climate resilience pay back—now? with ERM and Jupiter Intelligence

This interactive round‑table discussion will bring together senior business leaders, investors, and practitioners to explore a critical—and often uncomfortable—question: can nature and climate action deliver short‑term financial returns, or is ROI still largely a long‑term promise? Rather than focusing on commitments, targets, or future pathways, the discussion will centre on what is already paying back today. Participants will share experiences, challenges, and lessons learned from implementing climate mitigation, adaptation, and nature‑positive strategies within real commercial and investment constraints.

Through facilitated peer‑to‑peer exchange, the round‑table will:

  • Surface practical examples of near‑term ROI, including cost savings, revenue protection or growth, reduced exposure to risk, and improved access to capital
  • Examine trade‑offs and decision criteria used by organisations when prioritising climate and nature investments
  • Identify enablers and barriers to scaling actions that generate value within standard budgeting and investment cycles
  • Designed to be candid, participatory, and action oriented, the session aims to move beyond theory and highlight how nature and climate can compete for capital—now.

When: Thursday, 25 June 2026 | 8:30 - 9:30 BST

Environmental risks: Integrating emerging risks into financial frameworks with Barclays and Jupiter Intelligence

Nature and climate-related risks are becoming increasingly visible and financially material, yet they remain inconsistently quantified and only partially priced within financial and risk frameworks.

At the same time, organisations are facing a growing need to maintain operational resilience in the face of more frequent and severe extreme weather events. While the modelling of these risks is advancing rapidly, translating this uncertainty into decision-useful, financially relevant insights for CFOs, treasurers, and CEOs remains a key challenge.

This closed-door roundtable, co-hosted by Barclays, Natcap and Jupiter Intelligence, will bring together senior finance, treasury, and strategy leaders to explore:

  • How nature and climate risks, including extreme weather events, are currently reflected (or not) in financial decision-making and balance sheets
  • What is holding organisations back from pricing and integrating these risks more systematically
  • How leading institutions are beginning to quantify, transfer, and manage these risks, including through innovative financing solutions such as catastrophe bonds and broader adaptation-focused labelled instruments

Bringing together perspectives from corporates, financial institutions, multilaterals, and the insurance and modelling community, the session will aim to translate complexity into clear, actionable insights for senior decision-makers navigating this rapidly evolving agenda.
